What’s Around Broome
Spring and summer are truly enchanting seasons in the North West, marked by brilliant blue skies, warm evenings and some of the most spectacular sunsets you will ever witness. The days stretch out beautifully, giving you ample time to relax by the pool, wander the coast or take part in gentle adventures that showcase Broome’s natural charm.
This time of year is rich with seasonal events and cultural experiences, making it ideal for connecting with the local community. Many guests enjoy sunset camel rides along Cable Beach, catching a movie under the stars at the historic Sun Pictures cinema, or wandering through the vibrant Saturday Courthouse Markets.
Know Before You Go
Cable Beach is a world-famous destination and for good reason. Its 22-kilometre stretch of white sand and turquoise water is perfect for swimming, strolling or watching the sunset over the Indian Ocean.
To make the most of your visit, please stay safe and follow lifeguard patrol guidelines. Patrols operate from April to early October, and swimming is safest between the red and yellow flags near Broome Surf Life Saving Club.
Outside patrol season, during spring and summer, ocean swimming is not recommended due to strong tides and marine hazards such as stingers. For peace of mind, we invite you to enjoy the safety and comfort of the Resort’s swimming pools during these months.
We kindly ask all guests to respect lifeguard schedules and swim only in designated, patrolled areas when available.
