Cable Beach Club is a Cashless Resort to minimise touchpoints and improve operational efficiencies for our guests and staff.
Nestled along the stunning coastline of Cable Beach, Cable Beach Club offers more than premium accommodations and breathtaking ocean views. It’s a sanctuary that showcases the unique flora and fauna of the Kimberley region.
The diverse flora and fauna that flourish across the Resort creates a harmonious blend that enhances the guest experience, connecting them to the extraordinary landscape.
The Resort provides an oasis where guests can unwind amidst lush greenery. Lord McAlpine, the visionary behind Cable Beach Club, was passionate about creating a vibrant sanctuary that mirrored his love for nature and gardens. He invested significantly in sourcing a diverse array of flora, transforming the Resort into a botanical paradise that celebrates the beauty and resilience of the Kimberley landscape. His legacy endures, with every corner of the resort offering an oasis of meticulously curated plants, inviting guests to escape into nature’s wonders.
Signature Trees
The lush greenery of the resort is characterised by an array of unique and culturally significant trees. From the striking Boab Tree, native to northern Australia and a symbol of resilience in Indigenous cultures, to the stunning Evergreen Frangipani with its fragrant white blossoms, each adding a distinct charm to the resort’s landscape. Another standout is the Malay Almond Tree, whose expansive canopy and salt-tolerant nature make it a perfect fit for the coastal environment. These trees not only provide shade and beauty but also carry rich stories of endurance, adaptability, and cultural heritage.
Palms of the Resort
Symbolising relaxation, palms contribute significantly to the Resort’s tranquil ambiance. The striking Bismarckia Nobilis, with its unique blue-green leaves and the slender Darwin Palm, add an exotic touch to the surroundings. The Resort’s collection also includes the iconic Golden Cane and the elegant Fiji Fan Palm, both admired for their aesthetic appeal and ability to adapt to various light conditions.
Colourful Shrubs
The Resort’s diverse array of shrubs adds vibrant splashes of colour and texture to the gardens. The eye catching Ixora and the Crotons, known for their multicoloured foliage, create a lively and inviting environment. The Hibiscus a symbol of beauty, with its large, vibrant blooms further enhance the garden’s allure, adding a touch of tropical elegance to the already stunning landscape. These playfully coloured shrubs enhance the visual appeal of the Resort, making it a picturesque and serene retreat for guests.
Fascinating Fauna
Beyond its stunning flora, the resort is home to a vibrant array of fauna that enriches the guest experience. The sound of birds fills the air, with species like the Rainbow Lorikeet and the iconic Kookaburra making their presence known. The resort’s ponds and gardens attract a variety of butterflies, adding a colourful touch to the environment. These animals, along with many others, play a crucial role in the ecological balance, underscoring the resort’s commitment to preserving and celebrating the unique biodiversity of the region.
Integrating the natural surroundings
Previous guests of the Resort might have noticed our Studio accommodation wings have been named after flora and fauna that can be spotted within the Resort or present in the Kimberley region: Eucalyptus, Dragon flower, Frangipani, Acacia, Bougainvillea and Corella
The names were thoughtfully chosen to reflect the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the Kimberley region, with each name telling a story and connecting guests to the local environment and offering a deeper appreciation of the surroundings.
The signature Resort scent
The resort partners with local suppliers to create a unique corporate gift that captures the essence of the location. Hidden Valley, a small family business based in Broome, has crafted an exclusive scent for the resort. This fragrance, used in our rooms and available in gift sizes for guests to take home, is made from high-quality, natural, and plant-derived ingredients.
The scent combines pure essential oils of rosewood, Palma rosa, rose geranium, frankincense, lemongrass, tangerine, and vetiver. Combined, these essential oils create a fragrance that is floral, woody, citrusy, and slightly spicy, encapsulating the serene and natural beauty of the resort.

Cable Beach Club is more than just a luxurious retreat; it is a celebration of the Kimberley’s rich natural heritage. Every detail, from the carefully selected flora and fauna to the thoughtfully named accommodation wings, reflects a deep respect and appreciation for the environment.
