Community Support 2025

Making a Meaningful Impact in Broome and Beyond.

At Cable Beach Club, community is at the heart of everything we do. For over 37 years, we’ve proudly supported the people, organisations and initiatives that help Broome and the Kimberley region thrive.

From July 2024 – June 2025, we deepened that commitment, contributing time, space, resources and funding to causes that make a real difference.

From empowering local youth and protecting the Kimberley environment, to backing health services and celebrating culture, we’re proud to play our part in building a connected, resilient and inspired community.

If you have an community initiative or proposal for review, please reach out to our friendly team.

Donations
Throughout the year, we donated a wide range of resort vouchers to support fundraising efforts across the state. These contributions helped local events, grassroots organisations and large-scale campaigns raise vital funds and awareness.

Our commitment extended to Broome Circle’s annual event, the Empower Her Luncheon in support of local women’s refuges and national initiatives such as Telethon, Breast Cancer Care WA, Breakthrough T1D (JDRF), the Back on Track Foundation, Zero2Hero and Feed the Little Children.

Health & Wellness
Supporting the health and wellbeing of our community remains one of our highest priorities. This year, we proudly continued as Platinum sponsor of the Broome Surf Life Saving Club, helping to keep our coastline safe while also providing meals for their volunteers across the season.

Another meaningful initiative was our involvement in Flying Doctor Day 2025. As part of this statewide fundraising event, we raised funds across our restaurants and with the help of guests and staff in support of the Royal Flying Doctor Service WA, whose life-saving care is essential for remote communities across the Kimberley and beyond.

We also had the pleasure of hosting the Women’s Leadership Forum at the Resort, a celebration of strong, inspiring women driving positive change. We contributed resort credit for their fundraising raffle and gifted curated packages to every attendee, helping create a memorable and meaningful event.

One of the most heartwarming highlights of the year was our ongoing support for the Kyle Andrews Foundation. The Resort contributed credit for their annual fundraiser, provided breakfast for children and volunteers during their Broome camp, and continued to offer storage for the foundation’s five event trailers. These small acts of support help the Foundation bring joy and connection to young people and their families during difficult times.

The Region
The Kimberley region is one of Australia’s most unique and fragile environments and we are proud to support those working to protect it.

We partnered with the Parks and Wildlife Service by offering storage space for their 2024 Turtle Monitoring Program. This important initiative helps protect endangered marine life and raise awareness of our region’s precious coastal ecosystems.

We also continued our valued relationship with the Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) by providing office space and discounted accommodation. These resources supported AWC’s ongoing mission to protect Kimberley habitats and native wildlife species through science, land management and community education.

Discounted accommodation was provided to Saltwater Country and the Purple Hands Foundation.

Youth Development
Our belief in investing in future generations is a key part of our community approach.

In support of local education, we donated a resort voucher to Roebuck Primary School for their Mother’s Day raffle, helping raise valuable funds for school resources and student programs.

We also hosted school students at the Resort through our collaboration with North Regional TAFE, offering behind-the-scenes access to hospitality and tourism operations. These experiences are designed to inspire interest in the tourism industry and encourage young people to consider careers in regional hospitality.

Sport plays a powerful role in uniting communities, and we were proud to continue our support of the Broome Pearlers Sporting Club and Broome Floorball, assisting both junior players in the Green Groms and senior teams as they competed and connected through sport.

As we reflect on FY25, we are reminded that the most meaningful impact comes from connection. At Cable Beach Club, we remain committed to nurturing these connections through purposeful community engagement and long-term partnerships. Our approach continues to evolve, with a focus on ensuring our support delivers meaningful social, cultural, and environmental outcomes for Broome and the broader Kimberley region.
