Switching to Clean Energy
Cable Beach Resort and Spa is committed to increasing its focus on environmental sustainability and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
In 2022, Perdaman Advanced Energy was commissioned to develop a $3.3 million, bespoke 300kW (kilowatt) photovoltaic (PV) system with a 300kW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), to harness the natural energy of sunlight and convert this into electrical energy, to power the Resort.
The remarkable system comprises an impressive 300kW of solar panels, consisting of 50kW of panels on the roof of the Sunset Bar and another 250Kw of car park solar structures. A 300kWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) was constructed from scratch and converts the stored solar energy into electrical energy.
It was important to ensure that once the project was completed, our valued guests would seamlessly receive a premium experience at the Resort and it would not impact on electrical requirements at the Resort.
