Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is located on the world famous Cable Beach in Broome, far north Western Australia. Broome is easily accessible by plane to all major Australian cities and offers a relaxed lifestyle with all the conveniences of shops, restaurants, cinemas, hospital and schools. Our property has 233 rooms of varying styles, 4 restaurants, pool side bars, tour desk, resort shop and a full service Day Spa and Hair Salon.

 We are seeking experienced Assistant Restaurant Managers to contribute to the successful operation of Sunset Bar and Grill. Overlooking the pristine blue waters and white beaches of Cable Beach, Sunset Bar and Grill offers diners a relaxed a-la carte dining experience, guests can also sample Broome's award winning cocktails from the separate bar area.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position include:

  • Assisting the Restaurant Manager during service periods by overseeing service staff ;
  • High guest interaction, including ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction;
  • Promptly and efficiently address any product or service issues;
  • Ensuring the presentation of the restaurant and staff is in keeping with Resort standards;
  • Training and induction of new staff as well ongoing coaching and team development;
  • Liaise closely with the kitchen before, during and after service;
  • Ensure the end of shift reconciliation POS is completed;
  • Ordering of stock in a timely manner and in line with resort guidelines

The required skills, attributes and experience for this position includes:

  • Experience working in a similar role in a high volume, high end establishment is essential;
  • Formal qualifications in Hospitality or Restaurant management  will be viewed favourably;
  • Friendly and engaging personality;
  • A good understanding of wine and cocktails ;
  • Hold a nationally recognized Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification;
  • Demonstrated experience in training, development and counseling of staff;
  • High level of personal presentation and grooming;
  • Strong verbal and written English language skills
