Cable Beach Club Resort in Broome has added a new meeting room to its conference facilities, as part of the final touches to a $15 million upgrade to the iconic Resort.

 

The Resort, which derives much of its business from conference and incentive visitors, has acted on client feedback to create a new secretariat room. With direct access to the main conference room, it is individually climate controlled with natural light.

 

“With direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth to Broome, the conference and incentive market is a growing customer segment for our business,” Cable Beach Club Resort General Manager Ron Sedon said.

 

“We are constantly talking to our customers in this area to find out how we can better meet their needs.”

 

“Our major upgrade program has provided us with the opportunity to respond to that demand and create a new facility for our business customers.”

 

In the last six months the Resort has hosted conferences ranging from 20 delegates through to 130 and in May 2007 played host to 350 delegates attending an Insurance sector Conference.
