Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is the dream of Lord Alistair McAlpine.

Lord McAlpine fell in love with Broome and its beaches, and set his heart on building a retreat here.

After buying the land with a contract signed on the back of a beer coaster in the Roebuck Bay pub, he began to turn his dream into a reality - the Cable Beach Club  - which welcomed its first guests in 1988.

Lord McAlpine travels the world - and the art, antiques and artifacts he’s collected on his travels through Asia and the Middle East are those you can see adorning the grounds and rooms of the resort.

The 19th century pearl rush and the pearling industry left a cosmopolitan and colourful legacy. Many cultures make up the Broome experience  -  and they have been cleverly captured and reflected throughout the Resort.

If you'd like to learn about the Resort, there are Art and History tours available.
